As a motion graphics artist and video editor I am naturally drawn to great audio and sound design. In many projects the sound design goes unnoticed, but it adds so much to the visual design and the storytelling that happens in the foreground. Because of this, I am a fan of podcasts and audio productions. The same editing and producing techniques I use for video can be applied to podcasting as well. Podcasting is a great way to intimately reach your specific target demographic.
One Degree Greater Podcast​​​​​​​
This project is a story about a few Ohio State employees that shared a love for all things podcasting and went above and beyond their job duties to develop something new and original. Over the course of a year they teamed up to create an ambitions series of audio storytelling that specifically targets a disconnected higher-education demographic: recent graduates. Together, digital editor Kristen Schmidt, veteran storyteller Todd Jones, and myself (doing the audio editing and sound design) created a highly intellectual content marketing piece.
