For over 20 years I have been working in video production, both live action and motion graphics. My favorite projects involve collaboration with clients to come up with creative ways to tell their story. Sometimes an initial meeting is all it takes to find that great idea, but oftentimes hours of research can result in a perfect design and tone.

Columbus Museum of Art "Safe Visiting"
I teamed up with The Columbus Museum of Art and Gatehouse Media Partners to create a commercial campaign that would educate and promote safe visiting to the museum. I developed multiple scenarios based on the different perspectives that might speak to the audience: employees, fellow visitors and the art as "characters" themselves. I created a creative brief that presented all three perspectives and designs to match.

The final result was a campaign that featured the art as "characters" helping the museum get setup and ready for visitors. For this project I provided creative direction, writing, helped to select and coordinate voice talent and music. I also built the motion graphics that would become the final broadcast commercial and subsequent social and kiosk versions.
More creative projects:
The Rothko Challenge
Motion Graphics, Creative/Art Direction
When asked to come up with a creative treatment for the latest exhibit of the Columbus Museum of Art on Rothko, I could do anything but use actual images or representations of the artist's work! So, I turned to the next best thing, Mark Rothko's words, which provided the perfect voice and tone to represent and garner interest in the exhibit.
An Architect and an Artist
Motion Graphics, Creative/Art Direction
There is something magical about Michael Bongiorno's architectural drawings of the new addition to the Columbus Museum of Art. The marketing team considered him to be somewhat a rock star, compelling me to use the drawings as a way to represent a spark of something great to come. This video was used to raise awareness for the project.
Art with an Attitude
Motion Graphics, Creative/Art Direction
Tasked with creating a TV campaign around an art exhibit, it's easy to add some Bach and zoom on some photos. However, this particular project didn't fit the usual "museum" persona. This project is about being bold and standing up for who you are as a person. Art after Stonewall needed an attitude to match the movement.
